Public Trust is one of New Zealand’s largest trustee organisations. It is a Crown Entity with its independence guaranteed under the Public Trust Act, 2001.

As New Zealand’s largest provider of wills and estate administration services, Public Trust’s products and services include legal, financial, investment, trusts, estate administration and estate protection. These areas extend across their three core customer markets; personal, business and corporate.

Public Trust manages approximately 4,000 family and 400 charitable trusts. The Corporate Trustee Services, a division of Public Trust, serves the corporate and business market and has approximately NZ$45 billion under supervision on behalf of investors.

“With a focus on transformational improvement, Public Trust committed to implementing a new trust and wealth management system called ‘NAVOne’. Designed to move our business model forward, this new core system project would be supported by both internal and external people and processes.

“Implementing the system required us to recruit a multi-disciplinary team of external project managers to deliver specific components of the program. As the program director, I spent 60 per cent of my time working hands-on with the programme manager and the implementation team.

“Planit was engaged to set up our user acceptance testing (UAT) program with the system’s local integrators. This essentially required two suppliers to collaborate together to deliver our best interests.
