How to Ensure Success in your NPP Implementation

Suresh will draw on experience gained in consulting for numerous Wave 1 participants across the Planit group as well as his own experience in leading an NPP project for a major financial institution. Suresh will provide an overview of the challenges involved in an NPP implementation as well as key testing considerations. He will also address the major changes to the ecosystem, challenges in managing such a large program of work and, in doing so, achieving the necessary industry certification for your NPP implementation.


Challenges in NPP implementation: Vendor management and Delivery model (Agile/Waterfall)

Paul will discuss the challenges that can be faced in NPP implementation when there is a product vendor involved, covering how to best manage the product vendor and what typical challenges to expect when working with vendors. He will also discuss the considerations when electing a delivery mechanism and what challenges you may face to help determine which you should opt for – Agile, Waterfall or Hybrid.

    This year’s SIGiST winter conference has adopted the theme of “Take a risk!”.     Many Agile organisations face challenges in the transition of performance testing from centralised to Agile delivery teams due to technical reliance on centralised test tools. Planit Principal Technical Consultant, Jarrod Plant, spoke at ACS Software Testing SIGiST on the importance of “Continuous Performance Testing”.

    At the August SIGiST, Planit Technical Test Consultant, Anuj Sharma, and Technical Test Analyst, Nathan Holt, spoke on the topic of “Service Virtualization: Stubbing on Steroids”. Technical Test Consultant, Ankit Tarway, also presented on “Digital Transformation with DevOps”.

    Cloud & DevOps World returned to London as part of TechXLR8, London Tech Week’s Festival of Technology. It brought together the industry’s leading technologists and innovators to discuss cloud innovation, DevOps, containers, serverless architecture, regulation, cloud management micro services and much more.

    This was an invitation-only event for CIOs to facilitate discussion in an open forum and learn how other organisations apply key methods for shaping IT strategy to deliver greater business value. Gartner's Jenny Beresford, Salesforce's Robert Wickham, Panviva's Ben Cordeiro and CUA's Sue Coulter shared how today's CIOs are prioritising and delivering digital solutions to challenges.

    This BCS SIGiST included a keynote presentations from Planit’s Geoff Thompson on “Thinking about test management”, which highlighted recognition of skills in a team, the roles they play and using negotiation, motivation and influential leadership to ensure successful teamwork.
