Our senior testing team are active members of the testing community, having founding and leading roles in key industry associations such as the ISTQB, ANZTB, UKTB, ASTQB, TMMi Foundation and many more.

 

  • Chris Carter
    Chief Executive Officer

    Founder of Planit and the ANZTB, Chris is a major driver in advancing the Australian and New Zealand testing industries. He is also instrumental in putting the region’s testing industries on the world map through his involvement with the ISTQB, having been elected to serve on four consecutive executive committees from 2007, including as President from 2013 – 2015. His industry knowledge, management skills and vision are key to Planit’s accelerated growth and international expansion, firmly establishing the company’s reputation for integrity and quality.

  • Mike Weale
    Chief Operating Officer

    As Planit’s Chief Operating Officer since 2004, Mike is responsible for leading a workforce of over 1,000 staff, ensuring every one of our people meet the high standards for which Planit has become renowned. With senior management experience in the IT industry including Managing Director of Sapphire Technologies, he is responsible for ensuring our clients receive the best-in-class services, solutions and training every time.

  • Alex Edwards
    Chief Technology Officer

    As Planit's technical lead, Alex is responsible for technical services and continued digital innovation across the Planit Group. Alex is an accomplished Technical Test Practitioner, bringing over 15 years’ experience from a diverse range of industries including Defence, Retail, Construction and Public Services, working in Performance Testing, Test Automation, Operational Testing and Security. His previous roles include National Test Strategist, Non-functional Test Manager and Technical Project Manager.

  • Graham Davis
    Director of Testing, Sydney

    Graham is an experienced tester and Director of Planit’s Sydney Testing Services division, employing in excess of 180+ full-time consultants. He is involved in business and strategic development, client management, recruitment and staff management. Graham has been instrumental in the growth of Planit’s Testing Services and Training divisions over the past two decades and takes an active role in providing leadership across the business.

  • Darren Dalla Riva
    Director of Testing, Melbourne

    As Director of Testing Service Melbourne, Darren is responsible for the successful operation and delivery of Planit’s Melbourne Testing Services division. With over 15 years Test Management experience in some of Australia’s largest companies, Darren has played key roles in the delivery of business-critical projects and development of organisational testing competencies. His experience includes National Test Management, Project Management, Program Test Management of complex transformation programs and hands-on consultancy.

  • Andrew White
    Director of Operations, Perth

    As Director of Operations, Perth, Andrew is responsible for the growth and management of the Planit business in Western Australia. Andrew has over 15 years’ experience in client delivery in IT as founding State Manager WA for Sapphire then State Manager for Randstad’s IT division. Andrew has played a leading role in expanding Planit’s footprint in WA and growing the Perth branch into the largest pure play test consultancy in the state. Andrew has employed his skills in strong client relationships, staff management, recruitment and a focus on positive strategic direction to lead the successful operation of Planit in Perth.

  • Mike Tate
    Director of Testing, Wellington

    Mike has been working in the testing industry for over 13 years, organising and overseeing various strategic projects and programmes of work for both public and private-sector organisations. As Director of Testing, Mike is responsible for the General Management of the Wellington branch, building and growing Planit’s consultancy practice. Mike’s professional approach and calm demeanour are valuable assets that he draws upon in team leadership, in client relationship management and in his industry leadership role as an Advisor for the ANZTB.

  • Dan Minkin
    Director of Testing, Auckland

    Dan made the move from the UK at the start of 2012, bringing his extensive testing experience to the Planit team. Much of Dan’s expertise was built in the insurance industry, having spent over 17 years working with some of the biggest insurance companies in the UK and New Zealand. Dan excels in delivering test reviews, strategies and consultancy on major governmental and private programmes and has built a successful career through his ability to understand client needs and establish long-term working relationships.

  • Geoff Thompson
    Director of Testing, UK

    A multi award winner and co-author of a best selling software testing book, Geoff leads the Planit UK team by example. Geoff is a high profile and active figure in the global software testing industry, founding the UKTB and TMMi Foundation. He is currently Secretary of the ISTQB, Chairman of the UKTB and Vice Chairman of the BCS SIGiST. Geoff brings over 30 years of extensive global management experience and consultancy expertise to his role and is key to driving Planit's rapid expansion in the UK market.

  • Paresh Shrivastava
    Country Director, India

    Paresh is the Country Director for Planit India with overall responsibility for business development, solution delivery and business operations. Paresh has global cross-functional experience of more than 20 years across business development, managing strategic client relationships, consulting with global enterprises and running large scale delivery operations. Prior to Planit, Paresh has worked with Virtusa (now VirtusaPolaris), AppLabs(now CSC), Sapient (now Publicis.Sapient) and SBI Capital Markets.

  • James Pennefather
    Director of Training

    James has extensive management experience, enjoying success in a large cross-section of industries and locations around the world, following growth industries in emerging markets. James utilises his strong sales and people skills to effectively run Planit’s training division. Additionally, James holds a Masters in Marketing and works at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) as an assistant lecturer, teaching students business planning and strategy.

  • Winnie Gu
    Financial Controller

    Winnie has been the head of Planit’s finance department since 2008, being responsible for providing Finance and Accounting support functions across the organisation. She has been a Certified Practising Accountant (CPA) for over 15 years with over 20 years’ experience in accounting and finance, accumulated from various industries including manufacturing, business services and IT.

  • Emma Pilcher
    Group HR Manager

    With 10 years of experience in HR, Emma is responsible for the successful implementation and day to day strategy of Planit's HR department. Focusing on successful talent acquisition strategies to enable the continued growth across our three regions (AU, NZ & UK) is a core focus, along with cultivating a dynamic and attractive culture.

  • Blake Young
    Group Marketing Manager

    Drawing on over 10 years of experience in B2B marketing, working mainly within the IT and professional development sectors, Blake has managed all facets of Planit's marketing since joining in 2010. This ranges from marketing strategy, branding, creative development, campaign management, social media marketing, digital marketing and analytics.

  • Eric Holmstrom
    Group IT Manager

    Since joining Planit in 2008, Eric has been instrumental in supporting the rapid growth of the organisation from an IT infrastructure and support perspective. With a workforce that is largely based off-site or mobile, operating in the dynamic IT sector, this means Eric has significant and constantly changing demands for which to cater.
